Prakriti School, Noida · A Cambridge International School, K–12 What should schools teach?
“…the last thing a teacher needs to give her pupils is more information.”
How do we learn?
“Learning takes place best through action. Learning is about becoming — who I might be.”
How do we learn?
“Mind should be consulted in its growth. Education goes from Near to Far.”
We want our children to be…
It is said that a 21st century learner should be curious, imaginative, oratorical and open-minded. We say simply, that children should grow to be happy. Happiness begins with freedom to explore and choose. It lasts with the feeling of selfless giving, i.e., loving kindness. Education should be joyful and make learners kind towards others and the environment.
Free thinkers need to be free learners
Children should be free to learn what they like to learn and in the way they learn the best. The role of a teacher or a parent is to reconnect a child’s personality with the inner swabhav or prakriti. A school should be the safe space to explore the learning domains and express freely. With this freedom, children also learn what they need to.

Learning can only happen when the brain is relaxed.
We educate the whole child — body, feelings and inner life as well as the mind. Visiting parents notice it before anything else: the children here look relaxed.
