August is the month of celebrating the virtue of Loving Kindness at Prakriti. By celebrating this virtue, we cherish the values manifested in Lord Krishna, Prophet Muhammad and our brave freedom fighters, several of them unsung heroes. This year, social distancing did not dampen the spirit. Not only did we celebrate the Ganesh Chaturthi, Rakshabandhan, Janmashtami and Independence Day in the zoom rooms where learners regaled one another through their craft, stories and dances. On Rakshabandhan we made laddoos and sang songs, on Janmashtami we prepared shrikhand and danced like little Krishna and on Ganesh Chaturthi we made modaks and listened about the might of Lord Ganesha, our friend. The entire school came together twice in the first ever individual expression of loving kindness in creative ways on a common platform. Our middle scholars sang an originally composed rap song whereas our senior primary learners wrote and recited a poem on loving kindness. Here are some glimpses:
