Prakriti presents with POTLI , a series of Indian arts in an innovative form of stories and creations, aiming to reconnect children with our rich Indian Culture and crafts, thereby creating awareness and expanding markets for artisan communities that depend on their art for their livelihood while helping sustain the old art forms they practice.

“Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) through theatre is the core approach of Third Space Collective. Our methods draw from the creative field of performance arts and Drama in Education. This allows learners to understand how these characters act and their reasons for doing so. Our processes place the child at the center of their inquiries, where learners adopt many roles themselves to explore and perform.

Discovering Math In Nature

Age Group: 8 – 10 & 11 – 13 years

The workshop will rekindle a spirit of joy in learning of fundamental mathematics, using concrete and real life experiences with arts and spaces around us.

Film Appreciation Club

Age Group: 8 – 12 years & 13 – 16 years

“Films can be powerful mirrors to understand ourselves better and offer a great aid for self-discovery. Through child friendly classics from world cinema we hope to create contemplative spaces of self-reflection and dialogue for young individuals. The workshop will help children express themselves in a safe space and develop their critical conscience. The movies selected will be thought-provoking and inspiring.”

Book Club

Age Group: 8 – 11 years

In this book reading circle of 2 weeks, the facilitator will traverse with young learners through the lives of the characters in the book and cultivate a life-long love for reading different genres.”

“The Zero2Maker program uses a framework developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to get you started on the journey. The participants will receive challenges and mentorship to think, design and make products that solve real-life problems

Filmoscope

Age Group: 12 – 16 years

This course will take students from having never touched a camera before to making their own 5-10 minute short film. They will learn every stage of the filmmaking process: pre-production, production, and post-production.

Artificial Intelligence 101

Age Group: 12 – 15 years

“Prakriti presents Artificial Intelligence 101.  A workshop to introduce middle schoolers to the foundations of AI and the role it plays around us. We will explore the tools and logic used in AI and design a few games using Python. We will specifically learn on mathematical and excel concepts that are leveraged in AI programming to build solid fundamentals.”

Dr. Himani Narang is a trained Kathak performer and educator with 15 years of experience conducting various Kathak seminars and workshops. She has been associated with Sangeet Natak Academy, Uttar Pradesh and performing under the banner. She is driven to pass on knowledge of this dance form to others and continue the chain of this ageless expression. Her students take away some understanding of this amazing dance form and the young minds are introduced to the world of arts and traditions in a more creative and fun way.

She holds a Master’s degree in Kathak from Khairagarh University, MP; and Nritya Nipun, Bhatkhande Lucknow UP.

Pipi Longstocking is an exciting book of heart and emotions of a young girl who grows up strongly against the odds of the world and Inspires the growing pre teens with her critical consciousness.

In this book reading club the readers will reflect on the ideas of the main character and contrast it with the way they see the world. Our anchor Sonali didi will engage in creative exercises that will provoke thoughts and feelings from the young readers.

There will  be 6 sessions in 2 weeks to keep the readers simulated.

Zero2Maker

EnCube Labs
Age 11 – 14 years | 9 weeks | June 4 onwards

Zero2Maker programme is a space for middle school learners in all schools and those home schooled to come together and experiment with design and making. Learners will engage in product design & assembling working products. We have partnered with EnCube Labs to offer immersive and collaborative program.

The workshop is completely online with mentors assigned 1 -1 and kits for engineering products at home.
