This year (2021) in the Media, Communication and Technology domain, that starts from Grade 4, many of our learners focused on coding with the purpose of integrating the instruction with the physical objects, while others finessed their designs for making usable products.  Learners from Grade 7 made circuit systems on security, parking or alarm systems while those from Grade 8 made Home Automation systems using Arduino. Examples are hand-sensing dustbins, water-sensing soil pots, intelligent-lighting systems and hand-sensing water dispensers. Grade 6 worked with mechanised controls and displayed remote controlled cars and contraptions. Grade 4 and 5 displayed electric mazes, sundials, electric wishing cards and scratch-programme games.
